Position Summary:

Oversees construction, project and contract management of PG&E’selectric distribution facilities. Leads the completion of annual workplans to ensure safe and reliable electric service delivery tocustomers. Provides oversight of activities related to PG&E’sinvolvement in the state infrastructure projects. Provides strategicleadership to general construction, project and contract managementdirectors managing a large workforce. Participates in emergency programpreparedness and emergency response through the incident command systemimpacting electric operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures maintenance and construction work in assigned area is completed on time, within budget and quality expectations while adhering to safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Leads and facilitates Short-term or long-term planning, and defines plan goals and objectives.
  • Provides guidance and strategy in developing budget (expense, capital, and expenditures) and monitor, forecast and report on budget performance.
  • Drives continuous process improvement and manages complex technology and data process improvements and projects.
  • Ensures effective work & resource planning and scheduling for the service territory, and ensures resources align with budget.
  • Ensures that the department safety programs and improvement plans are well designed and executed.
  • Ensures and ongoing state of readiness and effective plans for emergency response for significant situations and system-wide electrical events.
  • Works with stakeholders to move internal work through estimating to ensure construction has sufficient ready work available in alignment with the operating plan.
  • Develops department performance expectations and goals that align with line of business and Company goals.
  • Collaborates with leaders, other LOBs, and business partners to work on issues, projects or activities.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Job-related experience, 12 years
  • Masters Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Leadership experience, large organization
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent of working time
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Technical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience in working with union-represented employees
  • Experience in contract management, utility
  • Leadership experience, change management environment
  • Experience in utility operations, or related
  • Experience in project management, construction-related
