Primary work location: Smelter, with other areas in MET Complex as work compels.
Install, troubleshoot, and repair high, medium, and low voltage circuits in an industrial environment.
Perform work on A/C and D/C motors and motor control systems.
Provide Process instrumentation and Electrical instruction to E&I-1 and Electrician-2.
Install, calibrate, and maintain electronic instrumentation/controls systems and detectors.
Maintain PLCs and Distributive Control Systems.
Required Education & Experience:
Electrical and Instrumentation/Controls troubleshooting experience.
2 or more years Process Instrumentation work environment
Computer Skills Understand the general operation of computers, and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.), with a detailed knowledge of data logging, spreadsheet, Instrumentation, and control software.
Electrical and Instrumentation/Controls maintenance experience.
Journeyman/Masters state license
Must meet the physical requirements for the Electrician I or II (see physical requirements and working conditions in the HR office)
Ability to communicate, train, and work well with others.
Working knowledge of motors, variable speed drives, and their programming
Associate degree or better in Electrical and Instrumentation
Detailed working knowledge of general electrical processes and procedures, such as NEC, interpret electrical and instrumentation.
Have detailed knowledge of prints, P&IDs, “smart” instrumentation, etc.
3-5 years Process Electrical Maintenance work environment
