Position Summary:

We are looking for new business specialist who can SOURCE OWN new business LEADS for car, home & contents & advise on PERSONAL LINES motor & household domestic insurance for Momentum Insure.

We are looking for SALES HUNTERS who are ENTREPRENEURIAL & are results oriented to be able to work on their own writing business in accordance with TARGETS.

This role is both in office & on the road and successful applicant must be prepared & willing to travel to client sites for meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieving sales targets
  • Building brand awareness through client interaction
  • Administration of client information on the CRM system
  • Source and develop new business opportunities (new business acquisition)
  • Cold calling, networking and lead generation

Required Education & Experience:

  • Experience dealing with Brokers (Broker sales) will be advantageous
  • Very strong communicator
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience sourcing own new business (prospecting)
  • Short-term insurance sales experience is advantageous
  • CPD (continuous professional development) points
  • Must have a proven track record in face-to-face sales
  • Strong sales abilities & must be customer service orientated
  • Must have – Own vehicle & licence
  • FAIS Credits (min 30 credits in short term insurance if date of first appointment is before 2010); or if date of first appointment is on or after 01/01/2010, a full recognised qualification as per the FSCA qualification list.
  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Must be prepared and willing to travel to client sites for meetings
  • FAIS Regulatory examination for Representatives (RE5)
