Position Summary:

We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer who is curious in nature, loves all things data. This a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of his or her data career who is eager to develop their skillset. We will be relying on this person to manage the technical side of our data structure, run the day-to-day integrations, and maintain, troubleshoot and analysis the coding structure to pre-empt any potential failings. They will work closely with Senior Marketing Data Analyst, who will provide coaching and development in all things Data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building and maintaining integrated data pipelines across all Marketing data sources for an unified data view
  • Identify, prioritize and lead data integration and automation projects to improve productivity and accuracy in the global Marketing data
  • Visualize data through dashboards to derive actionable insights
  • Support the analysis of Marketing’s strategic KPIs, channel optimization decisions, and advancement of customer insights through data aggregation, modelling and reporting
  • Work closely with the Marketing Data Analyst, IT team, and corporate data teams to integrate
  • Marketing data into the wider corporate data objectives and educate cross-functional partners on
  • Marketing data best practices and industry regulations.
  • Derive customer and marketing insights to support Marketing’s predictive & prescriptive data analytics in collaboration with the larger Insights and Planning team.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and in (virtual) teams.
  • Experience in data mining, analysis and modelling through scripting languages (Python, R and/or SQL)
  • Intermediate ability to aggregate, standardize, analyse and model data, within both centralized and decentralized environments.
  • Ability to derive analytical requirements, select and execute appropriate mathematical and statistical methods to discover patterns and interpret the results.
  • Strong planning skills and ability to work independently with general supervision.
  • Proven experience with Business Intelligence tools with associated programming skills (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Understanding of data warehouses and non-centralized data storage environments
