Position Summary:
The Timekeeping System Developer will serve as the in-house technical expert in the programming of and process controls for the timekeeping system (ADP eTime) for DHL eCommerce Solutions. This position is responsible for the configuration, proactive analysis, testing, implementation, data mining, and maintenance of the timekeeping system (ADP eTime).
Responsibilities include configuration for project implementations and improvement processes as well as optimizing utilization across the business. Identify areas of opportunity within timekeeping compliance, such as state-specific legislations, wage and hour reporting, and labor planning/utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with project teams, business leaders, field and vendor to ensure upgrades and major enhancements have been well tested limiting the impact to end users and the business.
- Provide technical configuration support to field and end users for DC start-ups.
- Proactively monitor and audit the use of the system to ensure compliance.
- Work closely with ADP Support Team to ensure system stability and timing of new features, functionality, service packs, testing and upgrades / implementations.
- Work with other internal cross-functional application developers to design requirements for software upgrades and interfaces between ADP eTime and other applications.
- Work with business to develop report specifications and approve Kronos proposed report designs to ensure consistency with established company standards.
- Create and troubleshoot hyper-find queries, genies and reports.
- Researches, design and schedule standardized reports or create ad-hoc reports or data queries to support the business needs.
- Coordinate testing of upgrades and interfaces with other applications and validate that interfaces meet company specifications.
- Configure ADP eTime application to support company goals, standards, and policies.
- Update technical documentation to reflect company’s usage profile. Understand and document business/ functional needs as pertained to time entry, scheduling and labor reporting.
- Work with internal GBS HR Team to advise and train on new features and system functionality in support of field needs and business goals.
- Troubleshoot issues as related to configuration (pay rules, accruals, attendance, attestation, scheduling, etc.) of the Kronos system.
- Support testing activities through test environment. Provide support for implementations and transfer knowledge to ongoing ADP eTime support resources ensuring that related documentation is current and accurate.
- Document and execute system configuration and changes.
Required Education & Experience:
- Experience with end user support and training.
- Self-motivated and independent critical thinker.
- Functional knowledge of labor management practices.
- High level of ownership, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of large-scale automated timekeeping systems (e.g. ADP eTime, Kronos).
- Understand business objectives and how technology can optimize and enable solutions.
- Ability to build strong partnerships, influence decisions, and communicate complex work in a clear and concise manner across a variety of audiences.
- 6 – 7 years of experience in large-scale automated timekeeping systems.
- Extensive knowledge of payroll practices, including local, state, and federal policies and regulations.
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, business analysts, managers, and subject matter experts.
