Position Summary:

The Depot Operator role manages day-to-day operations of the Depot including ensuring tasks are completed as required within operating systems as well as a provision of high-level lubes and customer service, stock control, identification and either conduct or oversee depot maintenance and implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain housekeeping of the depot, including buildings, grounds and gardens to a high standard of presentation, and cleaning of depot vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure site security, site maintenance, and HSE requirements for the site are met including site and vehicle inspections and staff meetings.
  • Ensure the requirements of the Chevron Australia Downstream for the Depot are met. These requirements include but are not limited to incident reporting, routine inspections, conducting regular toolbox meetings, and involvement in Health, Safety, and Environment training.
  • Ensure timely delivery of lubricants to all customers through coordination of delivery runs, and by providing delivery support as required.
  • Provide customer service and assistance including lubricants advice, technical support and processing of customer invoices, ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the process.
  • Ensure all systems, administration processes and stock control procedures are maintained at the Depot.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and pro-active in the workplace.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office products, other database programs and ability to learn and operate in other ERP systems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to hold and maintain a minimum ‘C’ class motor vehicle Drivers Licence, and forklift licence
  • Previous experience in a similar role requiring compliance with operational and WH&S procedures.
  • Previous experience in a role involving manual handling.
  • Trained in the control handling and storage of dangerous goods
  • Ability to work in an outdoor tropical environment.
  • Knowledge of warehousing and stock control.
  • Knowledge of petroleum industry and products.
