Position Summary:

The individual will be part of a dynamic team/s that is responsible to develop and maintain cloud solutions using a variety of tools and applications and work with various product teams. Comfortable working in an Agile environment with an evolving set of cloud services, software languages and frameworks. Is versed in cloud, software development, cybersecurity, and DevOps best practices. This role will consistently deliver innovative solutions, driving them through design, planning, development, deployment and support that simplify business processes and workflows to drive business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively participates in an agile DevOps team and performs the coding, automated testing, documentation (via wikis, READMEs, and code comments), and configuration changes to build, run, and maintain cloud solutions using modern patterns, technology standards, and best practices.
  • Resource will spend time automating and developing new capabilities for the Cyber Cloud/SOAR team.
  • Resource will have experience with sensitive data and working in an environment where discretion is critical.
  • Partner with vendors to recommend and implement Security Orchestration and Automation Response solutions based on Cybersecurity Cloud/SOAR requirements.
  • Close partnership with a smaller user base in identifying and executing opportunities around automating redundant processes, leveraging new features within our cloud platforms, and concentrating on improved ways to collect and process data.
  • Collaborate with Chevron solution and cloud architects to oversee the Cybersecurity Cloud/SOAR group’s adherence to Chevron’s cybersecurity strategy, with focus on forensics.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and analytical skills to independently troubleshoot issues and deliver on results.
  • Interest in and ability to learn new technologies and techniques. Puts learning into action by modernizing applications through re-platforming, re-architecting, re-engineering, and automation.
  • Has a keen eye for good architecture and the ability to develop new architecture and frameworks
  • Skilled in the DevOps space; experience with CI/CD processes (Azure DevOps pipelines, Ansible), source control practices (Azure Repos, Git, GitFlow), automated release management, automated testing, source code analysis (code quality and static application security testing)
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with various personas in the organization which includes management, peers, vendors, and stakeholders across disciplines, geographies, and time zones
  • Proficient across the Microsoft Azure solution stack (IaaS and PaaS) with proven ability to identify appropriate Azure service(s) to address business requirements
