Position Summary:
The Epic Developer is a lucrative opportunity to be a part of a group of highly accomplished professionals to learn and grow. CVS Health is the largest healthcare company in the world and has a rich set of healthcare data of more than 150 million individuals. You will be collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to analyze and synthesize the healthcare-related data to unearth new insights and solve challenging healthcare problems. You will leverage best practices and industry-leading tools to extract and build data pipelines. You will be responsible to explore data, understand the relationship between data entities, and build data models required to implement robust analytics and reporting solutions. You will be primarily responsible for designing conformed, aggregate, and semantic data layers, manipulating large datasets and establishing ETL automation to support insights and analytics. You will also need to have a thorough understanding and experience working in an agile environment leveraging software development best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage diverse array of tools to execute on business requirements and technical design, including but not limited to SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Tableau
- Design automatic data acquisition or data delivery process leveraging Control-M, batch scripts, SSIS and SQL Server Database
- Build custom SSIS packages to support ETL
- Create and document technical design for ETL implementation, including data model design, tool selection, and cross-system integration
- Work collaboratively with the business users in testing phase and ensures the final deliveries of extracts and reports meet the business needs
- Identify, assess, and resolve complex business problems, issues, risks and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation
- Conduct rigorous data analysis of clinical and operational data and to drive insights that advance enterprise strategic goals
- Collaborate with business users to understand and determine business requirements for data extraction out of the Epic platform.
- Review Epic upgrade documentation related to reporting and implement the changes as per the guidelines defined
- Demonstrate end-to-end understanding of the Epic platform, specifically Clarity and Caboodle.
- Build Radar dashboards and Reporting Workbench reports with in Epic Hyperspace environment for Clinical, Revenue Cycle, Operations and other business teams
- Design and build scalable reporting solutions to continuously monitor trends, pattern, outliers on various clinical and operational metrics which impacts patient’s health and operation performance
- Respond promptly to the needs of end-users, and meets Service Level Agreements as defined with business partners
Required Education & Experience:
- Ability to build consensus across teams, with staff and leadership
- Understanding or exposure to cloud-based platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, agile reporting environment
- 3+ years of experience with data modeling and data management in a relational database management system, such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- 3+ years experience with ETL tools, such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- 3+ years of experience with SQL development. Ability write complex relational and multidimensional SQL queries and complex stored procedures.

- Prior experience working with an EHR system and understanding of clinical and revenue cycle data
