Position Summary:

The NFL’s Analyst will be a key member of the Consumer Products group helping to drive growth with our Consumer Products business. The primary job functions are to support the NFL ecommerce business and to drive all efforts in gathering, analyzing and distributing data with the goal of providing deeper insights into the business by developing reporting and analytics tools to facilitate data driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct approvals for all NFL premiums
  • Build weekly reports, dashboards and/or analytic tools to consolidate and analyze data from various touchpoints
  • Drive best in class reporting and analytics while working with internal finance team so that we are making data driven decisions across the Consumer Products business
  • Analyze weekly sales trends and work closely with licensing team to capitalize on trends in the market
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improved revenues while anticipating potential challenges
  • Monitor industry trends, identify best practices of competing sports, and drive innovation among the League’s partner base
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on performance of retail marketing campaigns and executions
  • Work with third party vendor(s) to track and analyze compliance to processes, regulations and policies
  • Maintain the retail portion of the royalty reporting system (RSG) and manage licensee requests for updates

Required Education & Experience:

  • Highly analytical person who makes decisions and influences others based on data and empirical evidence
  • Ability to operate and communicate effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an analytics role
  • Intellectual flexibility to reconsider historical approaches in business mode
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, along with a proven track record of success
  • Strategic thinker who can effectively make the case for taking calculated risk
  • Advanced degree is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work on a diverse scope of projects requiring detailed analysis, creative/practical problem solving, and sound judgment
  • Strong analytical capabilities, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Knowledge of and relationships in the licensing/retail industry a plus
