Position Summary:

As Delta will directly hold all construction trade contracts and be supported by an agency Construction Management team providing oversight of all construction activities, the successful candidate will work closely with the Construction Manager in daily management and coordination of trade contractors as well as in coordination with the Port Authority, internal stakeholders and other relevant entities during the execution of the project. The successful candidate shall be responsible and held accountable for managing all aspects of program cost, schedule, quality, safety and diversity compliance for the airside portion of the project. Additionally, the successful candidate shall be responsible for liaising with numerous other stakeholders including terminal and airline operations, various government agencies, security personnel, the Port Authority and other airport entities and contractors working on the airport.

What you’ll have:

  • Must have extensive experience working for and with general contractors as well as working in a multiple-prime construction delivery environment.
  • Minimum of five years of professional construction experience holding senior positions on major commercial construction and capital improvement programs.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced and stressful construction environment, with the ability to perform with a high degree of competency and accuracy.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
  • The successful candidate must be able to effectively work with and lead a team as well as possesses strong analytical, managerial, financial, decision-making, coordination and both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess knowledge of the New York construction market and have a successful history of working with the New York trade unions.
  • Experience on major aviation construction projects is preferable.
