Job Overview:
The Governance, Audit Engagement and Issue Life Cycle Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.
What you’ll do:
- Track issue and CAP status and progress, and escalate to the Head of Risk and Control issues and CAPs that are at risk of missing their target dates at least 30 days ahead of the targeted closure date. Support the business on ‘at-risk’ issues and CAPs.
- Ensures deliverables are reviewed and organized before submission to Internal Audit.
- Perform quality assurance on completed CAPs in the iCAPs system prior to formal validation by other control and assessment functions such as Internal Audit.
- Track and ensure accurate information populated and measured in the HR Executive Scorecard in regards to : ROR, OTR,IBAM, Self-identified among other indicators.
- Proactively supports in implementing Governance Framework across EMEA.
- Proactively drives and oversees with EMEA Risk and Control Head of Issue Cycle Management/Audit Engagement and Governance – Issue Cycle Life Management leading with Countries compliance with Issue Management Framework, Escalation Policy and ensuring Correction Action Plans are sustainable and written as per the standards, completed and closed timely. Responsible of running monitoring routines and reports to ensure oversight and tracking of open issues.
- Is a team player and participates overseeing TPM, EUC, Records Management and other Key Operational Risk areas.
- Act as ‘gate keeper’ and ensure data quality by centrally reviewing and document self-identified Issues and associated CAPs along with compensating controls and IBAM (Issues Being Addressed by Management) checklists in the global iCAPs system for issues and CAPs that have been drafted by the function owners.
- Engages with HR Products and Countries on Risk Identification and Remediation.
- Support Internal Audit and Compliance Testing Engagement along with Head of Risk and Control for EMEA and on CAPS and Audit Engagement governance.
What you’ll have:
- Proficient with the iCAP system, experience with Cognos is a plus.
- Ability to run and manage conference calls with business partners, technology and functional peers from multiple disciplines to reach a common goal.
- Prefer experience of Transactions Services functional knowledge
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
