Position Summary:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Managing inventory re-ordering, processing direct charge orders from Operations personnel, soliciting vendor quotations and accurate information to secure orders and service agreements in accordance with Sibanye Stillwater-approved Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
Required Education & Experience:
- Cost Avoidance
- Negotiate and process vendor contracts for materials.
- Cost Analysis
- Ability to negotiate pricing and other terms of purchase consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need.
- Work with other departments to recommend new suppliers, issue REQ’s and analyze proposals.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant purchasing experience and a high school degree or GED equivalent
- Strong negotiating skills
- Competitive Analysis
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- B.S. in a relevant discipline
- Effective planning and scheduling skills.
- Expedite and ensure the timely delivery and receipt of materials.
- Experienced in Supply Chain Management, including:
- Interface with Accounting and Warehousing on problem resolution.
