Position Summary:

Evaluate & develop opportunities aimed at future partnership & collaboration in the target areas in line with ADD strategy. Engage & work constructively with internal & external parties and stakeholders to achieve alignment throughout the deal process.
Manage shortlisted deal opportunities (organic or inorganic) through the various stages of the deal cycle with the aim of successful culmination in the form of formal agreements.
Develop & foster formal and informal networks within the industry at a global level with the objective of understanding & identifying opportunities & threats to ADD, and proactively using the knowledge to bring value to ADD while aligning on market trends & developments that have an impact on strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Advisor, BD in the development and implementation of Venture strategy to maximize business opportunities, market share and net profit.
  • Provide strategic and analytical support to evaluate business development opportunities including project economics, investment appraisals and business case analysis, as and when require
  • Explore various options for development and operation of new ventures in order to select the best option and follow up the plan and implementation of the approved options.
  • Evaluate emerging and new technologies, processes and market trends including the examination of long-term techno-economic impact to incorporate the best strategy in various plans.
  • Perform market and competitive analysis with a keen ability to identify and analyze potential business opportunities.
  • Evaluate appropriate information to forecast the return on future business transactions; contribute to creation of revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections.
  • Use a range of frameworks and methods to generate, test and prioritize a large hopper of potential concepts in a systematic yet rapid way.
  • Identify and communicate uncertainties and risks; implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Collaborate with internal Brand and Sales teams and external partners to develop go to market (GTM) strategies.
  • Implement strategic objectives that fulfil the mission and the goals of the department efficiently and effectively in collaboration with leadership team.
  • Screen market, identify and recommend M&A opportunities helping the company unlock new business value across dimensions such as market entry, capability acquisition & building, new business opportunity, user base expansion, strategic investments etc.
  • Lead/ conduct detailed financial analysis, including financial modelling development of long-term forecasts; valuation; calculation of financial impact of potential transactions on ADNOC Distribution’s consolidated financial results.
  • Manage the multi stages of the investment process including origination, valuations, structuring (assets/shares, percentage ownership etc.,) consideration (AED/shares, now/deferred), risks / due diligence issues, deal / negotiation process management, and business case assessment.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of effective key business relationships with all relevant external/internal entities and all sections with the highest standards of business ethics, whilst promptly attending to all critical issues in-order to ensure the services required by the organisation are delivered in the most effective manner.

Required Education & Experience:

  • 8 experiences working in similar roles preferably 4 years from Big 4 and Investment Banking sector.
  • Experience in project management and implementing best industry practices.
  • Ability to advise on labour, vendor, and supplier procurement contracts.
  • Proficiency in analysing budgets and preparing financial reports.
  • Ability to identify future business opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Advanced knowledge of business operations and strategic planning.
  • Interpersonal skills toward efficiently communicating new business processes and procedures
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies and branding.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Strategic Management or equivalent.
