Position Summary:

The Business Analyst role within the VM Technology Team will conduct research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting in support of business decision making, business strategy and operations. The VM Technology Team is responsible for management of numerous work management systems that enable our Execution teams to perform necessary work in the field and our Business Analysts are at the heart of this support. The successful candidate will participate in business process improvement, reporting development projects and other initiatives as needed to support our VM Execution teams in their day-to-day work. As needed, the Business Analyst will also participate in business process re-engineering, change management initiatives, communication and training, and reporting systems improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determines data needs, collects data, selects from different analytical techniques to achieve desired data outcomes.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and documentation enhancements.
  • Create user-guides and documentation standardization within the VM Technology Team.
  • Understands business needs, develops new reports and performs custom/ad-hoc reporting working independently. Presents findings to various audiences.
  • Performs analysis on moderately complex data models selecting from various reports and data options.
  • Communicates with peers inside and outside the department exchanging ideas or gathering information.
  • Participates on project teams.
  • Performs basic research internally and externally.

Required Education & Experience:

  • 2 years of related work experience
  • Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Broad expertise in what-if modeling analysis, concepts, methods and techniques and analysis of how different factors affect business outcomes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, Visio or similar software
  • Broad knowledge of different analytical methods, approaches and tactics
  • Creative problem-solving skills to develop solutions
  • Project management knowledge and skills to work with project teams
  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience
