 Job Overview:

This is a key time to be joining British Airways as we Build a Better BA. We take huge pride in our past – but we’re looking to the future as an airline that loves embracing the best of modern Britain. Our country’s creativity, diversity, style, wit and warmth are the same special qualities that make us who we are. If you’re made of the same qualities as us, you could soon be part of the next chapter of our story. Together as one team, we’re connecting Britain with the world and the world to Britain like no one else.
Great journeys require first-class aircraft. That’s why our world-class engineering function is so important to the British Airways customer experience. In our team, you get to work in unrivalled facilities on one of the most diverse fleets around. Get ready to push your engineering skills to ensure our customers fly in the safest, most reliable aircraft in the skies.
In return for keeping our fleet at the forefront of the sector, you’ll receive great rewards and lots of scopes to develop your engineering skills and progress your career.

What you’ll do:

In this role, you will be part of a dynamic, highly motivated team responsible for delivering both the aviation security policy and infrastructure required to support the British Airways Engineering Operation at UK bases.
At our main bases in London, you will be a key part of a team delivering the day-to-day operational infrastructure and facility strategy for our engineering and maintenance teams, ensuring that our facilities are fit for purpose for both our people and our fleet of aircraft, including the provisions for the new B777-9. You will be involved in managing our security partner, ensuring the safety and security of our people, aircraft and facilities. The team is unique in the airline, delivering complex projects and corporate events alongside normal day job activities, meaning two days are rarely the same. This makes for an exciting, challenging, and dynamic working environment, and sometimes means we need to work outside ‘normal’ working hours, so flexibility, adaptability and the ability to adjust priorities to meet business demands are vital. The airline industry changes so fast that we’re constantly evolving and finding new ways to impress customers and get ahead of our competitors and improve the environment for our colleagues. If you’re an innovator and brave and bold thinker, you will be in your element at British Airways.
