Liaise with Site Operative & Design team to produce a variety of drawings for the delivery of Overhead Line & Cabling Projects;
Works will be mainly Civils driven for Cable Installation, Termination compounds, Haul Roads, Bellmouths, Crane Pads & Bridge Earthworks drawings to enable a safe and secure solution in accordance with BIM & client design requirements, programme, cost and quality
Key Responsibilities:
Work on your own & as part of a team, be willing and able to share technical ability, knowledge to other members of the team whilst being keen to learn new skill sets;
To produce Earthwork drawings for Hardcore Haul Roads including Crane Pads, Bellmouths & bridges using point clouds/ surfaces from lidar. Balancing cut and fill volumes, volume calculations;
Attend and contribute to team meetings and consider ways to constantly improve CAD delivery in the most efficient and cost-effective manner;
Understand the requirements of contract documents and liaise with Senior/ Principal Design engineers as necessary to agree design requirements;
Have the ability to self-check own work prior to approval stage and issue drawings to Doc control Via BIM;
Produce cable routes from tender stage to As Built as well as producing cross sections, Line
Diagrams and termination approach drawings;
To be flexible to ensure that deliverable timescales are met;
Be part of a team to deliver project specific drawings at a high standard and accuracy in accordance to client specification and BIM requirements & across all departments;
As a CAD Technician under a Design Team Leader to support drawing production for various sites;

Required Education & Experience:
Ability to use and process international geographic datasets;
Working under a BIM environment;
Demonstrates a working knowledge of Autodesk Civils 3D & AutoCAD;
Full driving licence with access to vehicle.
Proficient using the industry design software; AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D;
Previous experience of acting as a CAD Technician in an Engineering / Civils environment;
HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or HNC/ HND CAD;
Demonstrates a working knowledge of cable routes and existing services;
