Position Summary:

Our Civil Engineering Graduates follow a training programme as part of our accredited ICE scheme, geared towards you achieving Chartered Engineer status. Depending on project requirements, you could be site, office based or both. We anticipate that there will be more than one position available and locations will include North Scotland / Aberdeenshire region, and also Motherwell. In both locations, it likely that you will be required to travel to other sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the project delivery team, providing technical support
  • Contribute to the accurate and efficient provision of daily site records and productivity reports weekly and monthly to the scheme manager
  • Ensuring systems, design information, procedures and quality systems are adhered to
  • Assisting with site investigations and overall implementation of projects
  • Quality assurance, ensuring the customer requirements are clearly understood and that quality control mechanisms are in place that provide assurance that the asset and/or service delivers as designed/required
  • Assessing the potential risks of specific projects
  • Thinking both creatively and logically to resolve design and development issues
  • Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues and architects, subcontractors, contracting engineers, consultants, co-workers and clients

Required Education & Experience:

  • A full, clean UK driving licence
  • A team focus with the ability to communicate and build strong relationships with a wide variety of people at all levels
  • Ideally have a previous placement or experience within an engineering environment
  • You’ll have a flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change (you may be required to relocate and/or travel as part of the programme)
  • A driven, self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work on your own initiative and influence decision making
  • A minimum of a 2:2 BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Eligibility to work and live in the UK
