Position Summary:
We will develop your technical and leadership skills to help you reach your full potential and as your programme progresses you will have increased responsibility; working with experts who will share their knowledge, provide support and give invaluable feedback so you never stop learning. You will be part of a graduate cohort and be assigned Business Improvement and Corporate Social Responsibility Projects that can affect the way we work as a business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and utilise the appropriate digital tools to support the project
- Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues and architects, subcontractors, contracting engineers, consultants, co-workers and clients
- Quality assurance, ensuring the customer requirements are clearly understood and that quality control mechanisms are in place that provide assurance that the asset and/or service delivers as designed/required
- Ensure relentless focus on Zero Harm
- Assessing the potential risks of specific projects
- Thinking both creatively and logically to resolve design and development issues
- Ensuring systems, design information, procedures and quality systems are adhered to
- Assisting with site investigations and overall implementation of projects
- Support the project delivery team, providing technical support
- Contribute to the accurate and efficient provision of daily site records and productivity reports weekly and monthly to the scheme manager
Required Education & Experience:
- Ideally have a previous placement or experience within an engineering environment
- A driven, self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work on your own initiative and influence decision making
- A minimum of a 2:2 BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Eligibility to work and live in the UK
- A team focus with the ability to communicate and build strong relationships with a wide variety of people at all levels
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- You’ll have a flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change (you may be required to relocate and/or travel as part of the programme)
