Position Summary:
These positions are located within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Audit and Assurance Directorate. The incumbents perform audits, reviews, financial analyses, and evaluations of the agency trading partners’ financial data and information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Duties are listed at the full performance level.
- Applies audit techniques to complete evaluation of information and data supplied by auditees.
- Applies accounting and auditing concepts, practices, and techniques to audits.
- Prepares audit reports to provide information on program operations and to identify root causes of deficiencies.
- Assesses program or operational efficiency and effectiveness, as well as compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
Required Education & Experience:
- Degree: accounting, auditing; or a degree including auditing courses in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law.
- 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
- Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
- Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
