Position Summary:
Diagnose, install, repair, replace and/or perform maintenance on Large Commercial and Industrial HVAC systems, devices, and/or components following all Federal, State and Local Rules and Regulations under the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) Air Conditioning and Refrigeration License.
Key Responsibilities:
- Balance air treatment systems
- Repair wiring and electronic components associated with Automated Building Management Systems
- Use computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to capture pertinent data, develop PMs, create work orders, provide reports and manage workload
- Perform Root Cause Analysis on malfunctioning heating Large Commercial and/or Industrial HVAC elements
- Acquire, store, and dispose of all required refrigerants and chemicals following all applicable state, federal, and local rules and regulations
- Install, troubleshoot, and/or repair Large Commercial and/or Industrial HVAC elements such as: heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration units, including but not limited to chillers, boilers, and heat pumps
- May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Required Education & Experience:
- A valid Universal EPA or Environmental Project Agency Certification at the time of hire
- Associates Degree (AA/AS) in HVAC or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- TDLR Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician License required at time of hire
- A valid Class C Texas driver’s license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver’s license within 90 days of hire
