Position Summary:
This position provides advising on a variety of administrative management services regarding various Human Resources programs and supports the Human Resource Supervisor and Human Resource Team members as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains reference files of frequently consulted regulations, policies, directives, and other material. Runs and/or obtains data and reports as needed.
- Provide training services to supervisors and team members ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Duties listed are at the full performance GS-7 grade level.
- Has knowledge of the capabilities, operating characteristics, and advanced functions of a variety of office automation software to select the most appropriate software type for a specific office need.
- Responsible for keeping all information confidential, secure and protected at all times. Prepares and develop meeting materials, briefing charts, fact sheets, and attend meetings.
- Determines the overall file methods, use of files equipment, preservation of records of continuing value, and the systematic elimination of all other records.
- From multiple sources (oral instructions, notes, etc.), prepare correspondence, forms, reports and other documents with a wide variety of technical terminology.
Required Education & Experience:
- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
- One full year (18 semester hours) of successfully completed graduate level education in a communications or business administration field of study that directly relates to this position;
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
